How to Install Vinyl Plank Flooring?

You’ve decided to put in some stylish, long-lasting vinyl flooring in your home, a decision that will increase your property's value and help you create a unified aesthetic in your rooms. Installing vinyl plank flooring is popular because of its versatility, durability, low cost, and ease of installation.

  • Getting ready to install your new floor: Your tile floor should be devoid of cracks, firm, and level. Remove any carpeting from the old bathroom vinyl flooring and the foundation boards and molding for the time being. Once your floor and room boundaries are clear and level, you can start measuring your flooring for installation.
  • Measuring your subfloor: Install the Vinyl in a straight line against the room's longest wall. In the long run, this will reduce the need for cutting. You'll still need to change the width of your final and maybe the first row of boards, so we'll have to perform some measurements.

  • Preparing the doorways: Cut the door frame to make it easier for the boards to slide beneath it. Take a plank of flooring and set it down next to the door molding to make this type of cut first. Make a guiding line with a pencil along the surface of the molding to indicate where the cut should be made. Cut with a jamb saw.
  • Installing your first row: To make things look natural, start by taking all the boards from their crates and shuffling them together. Place the first plank on the wall, leaving an expansion gap between the edge and the wall. Holding the second board at an angle, insert its groove edge into the tongue edge of the first plank.
  • Second-row and beyond: Use the same angle and step procedure for the second row, joining boards with the planks in the first row. Plan on stacking your planks vertically, leaving at least 6 inches between adjacent rows' seams. Utilize this strategy to laminate the full room, completing each row before moving on to the next.

If you follow these steps closely, you can successfully and simply install vinyl click clock flooring.
